I think we've all heard "Bag Lady" by Erykah Badu and we can all say none of us wants to be considered one. But let's be honest, we all have some baggage and we need the most fashionable place to keep it. So, whether you can fill a "Lizzo" inspired mini bag or a full on Louis Vuitton suitcase, pull up a seat and let's talk bags.

Mini Bags

Mini bags popped up out of nowhere and are gaining more and more popularity each day. While these tiny bags can only fit a credit card, a tube of your favorite lipgloss, identification and a small amount of cash, they tend to make a big impression. Mini bags pair well with more dressy looks, but don't need a bunch of extra frills. These are the ants of bags, let them do all of the heavy lifting.

CLUTCHES

Clutches used to be the mini bag, but now they're considered to be more of a mid-sized bag. Clutches have made the transition from formal evening wear to daily wear. Most clutches come with detachable straps, making for an easy transition from day to night! Feel free to attach the strap and rock your clutch with you favorite pair of jeans during the day and throw on your favorite LBD and lose the strap at night!

Backpacks

Move over students, the fashionistas have come for your backpacks. Due to the popularity of athleisure in the mainstream, backpacks have found a new home. That is in the closets of the most fashionable. They pair well with tennis shoes and stilettos, and add a little fun to your look. They also offer fashion and function because you can fit a large amount of items inside. Backpacks don't bode very well in formal settings, but can be clutch for all informal settings.

Trendy Bags

The tides are changing and bags becoming more and more fun. While we're still retaining our usual hardware (diamonds, pearls, studs and crystals), we're having even more fun with shapes and other cool elements.

We can't lie, we we're late to the purse party. But now that we're here, we won't be leaving anytime soon! Purses can be a silent piece of function or the statement piece of an entire look.
