The Set Up

Hey Dolls,

You all know we love a good set. They are perfection for so many reasons. We love short sets, skirt sets, pants sets, pajama sets and everything in between. We've touched on sets here and there, but I'd like to talk about the different kinds of sets and how to make them work for you. The two greatest benefits of sets are: they match, so little thought is needed when worn as a set, and they can be mixed and matched.

Short Sets

Our favorite kind of short set is one of the cropped variety. We love a cropped sweater or tank. Cropped short sets work better as a set because the exposed skin breaks up some of the busyness of a print set or monotony of a solid set. But there are many types of short sets. Short sets are the least transitional because normally the tops pair well with denim, skirts or sweats, but the shorts loose some of their appeal when paired with other tops.

Skirt Sets

Skirt sets run the range from fun and sassy to classic and professional. There's midi, mini and maxi skirt sets and the tops have many options also. Such as cropped, halter, tank, long sleeve, three-quarter sleeve and any other cut you can imagine. Skirt sets serve the most looks and present the most options as far as transitional possibilities.

Pants Sets

There's literally nothing more boss than a pant suit and we're not talking about your grandmother's pantsuit. You can serve Miranda Priestly or a little Cardi-ana in a pant set. Pants sets offer all the benefits of skirt sets, but you can also do cart wheels in them 😂.
